Good Neighbor Pharmacy, an AmerisourceBergen program with a nationwide network of more than 3,600 independently owned pharmacies, tapped Netplus to develop a program that both educated store owners and pharmacists about the ins and outs of social media.
The end product was an easy-to-use, thirty-page social media tool kit filled with tips and instructions on branding, selling, and communicating online. The manual included step-by-step directions for launching, growing and generating value from channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare. It also offered a social media buzzword glossary, tips for building an online community, instructions for creating a social media calendar, and more.
AmerisourceBergen distributed the toolkit to all 3,600 stores via their online resource portal and at their national tradeshow in July. The program received immediate positive feedback from store owners and pharmacists who expressed their excitement about forging deeper relationships with their patients, and increasing influence in their communities.
